“I liked that we agreed on how to pause before we started anything hard.”
Our services
Ways of working, chosen with you
We draw on several methods so the work can fit you. Your clinician names the method, explains what it asks of you and what it can stir up, and you decide.

Individual therapy
One-on-one sessions for adults who carry something from the past. We start with what you want and go at the speed you set, without asking you to retell the story before you are ready.
Talking, skills practice, or both
A check on pace at the start and end of each session
You can pause or change direction at any time

Couples sessions
For couples in which one or both partners carry a trauma history. Each partner meets the therapist alone at least once before joint sessions begin, and either partner can stop a session.
A separate first meeting for each partner
Slowing an argument down so each person can finish a thought
Agreement in advance on what is shared and what is not

EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a structured therapy in which you recall a memory in small steps while following a guided movement or tapping. EMDR can bring up strong feelings, and your clinician explains the risks before you decide.
Preparation sessions come first, to practice settling
You choose which memories to work on, and which to leave alone
Each session ends with time to settle

Somatic and body-based work
Some of what stays with us is felt in the body. We use slow attention to breath, posture and sensation, always by your invitation, to help you notice what you feel and settle when you need to. We do not use touch.
You decide where to place your attention
Eyes open or closed, sitting or standing
Any exercise can be left out

Skills group
Eight weekly sessions for a small group of adults to practice settling skills together. It is skills practice, not a place to tell your story, and a clinician from the practice leads every session.
Grounding, breathing and pacing skills
No one is asked to share their history
Group sessions can sit alongside individual therapy
