Who we are

A small practice for adults who are carrying the past

  • Presence

We sit with what is hard without rushing to fix it. Being heard does not require telling the whole story.

  • Method

We name the method we use, explain what it asks of you and what it can stir up, and keep learning through continuing education.

  • Pace

You set the speed. We check it at the start and end of every session, and you can pause or change direction at any time.

    How pacing works

Our therapists

The people holding space for you

  • A woman in glasses and a black blazer sits in a bookshelf office, listening to a client whose back is to the camera

Gwen leads the practice and works with adults who are carrying something from the past. She uses EMDR, and she starts every new client with questions about pace.

  • A smiling woman in an orange top looks to one side against a softly blurred room

    Ritu Parikh

    Therapist, somatic work

    • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) · IL Lic. 000000

Ritu works with breath, posture and sensation, always by invitation, so you can notice what you feel and settle when you need to.

  • A young man with dark styled hair in a denim jacket and white top faces the camera against a dark backdrop

    Jair Medina

    Therapist, skills-based therapy

    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) · IL Lic. 000000
